This is a three day course designed for the novice to higher educated marksman, we highly encourage and recommended for those who have had little or no formal training to attend. This is a fast paced course, and will cover all aspects of static long range marksmanship. We will begin with firearms safety then on to topics such as: equipment comprehension and use, fundamentals of marksmanship, basic ballistics, wind reading, range estimation with MIL or MOA reticles, and target engagements to 1000 yards.
All students will receive a Trace Armory Precision Rifle Manual, Mil-Dot Master, and a course T-Shirt.

Description:This rifle class is a introduction to teach the student how to engage targets with a semi-auto or manually operated rifle. The main focus will be on the fundamentals of marksmanship. This course will give the student a solid foundation to learn upon for follow up shots and point target engagement out to the abilities of the rifle.
Once you complete this class you will earn a certificate of training from Trace Armory Group and the NRA. This training is inline with the use of The Special Purpose Rifle (SPR) / and comparable to other Designated Defensive Marksman (DDM) classes. The course will follow very close to the USAMU / Department of State courses for training for this skill set. The course will consist of a mix of classroom instruction, and practical application with live fire training. We will start training at 0800 and end at 1600.
The classroom portion will focus on exterior ballistics and how to adjust the riflescope to engage targets. Once we move to the range we will use all the lessons of the classroom to practical use. On the range we will learn how to range estimate, hold off's and muti-target engagements.
This class is not a shooting class!!!! Very little marksmanship training will be given!!!!
This is a student-paced course; there will not be any time to waste but we will assure all students fully understand the subject being taught. Come prepared to work, learn and shoot!!
